Our archive and library are currently closed to individuals. The team at the Heritage Centre are working towards welcoming you back to new and improved research spaces soon.
Housed in the heritage-rich Lloyd’s Register Building, at 71 Fenchurch Street, London, the Heritage Centre provides a friendly environment for everyone. Our promise of a meaningful visitor experience means that we will place you, the visitor, at the heart of what we do, so you can have an enjoyable, informative and memorable experience with us.
Our doors are open to visitor groups interested in the history of Lloyd’s Register and its historical headquarters in the City of London, we provide custom experiences including lectures about our organisation and guided tours of the building.
The Heritage Centre will enable you to explore the unique maritime collections of our archive and a library containing more than 60,000 books collected since 1852, spanning from maritime history to naval engineering and safety at sea. At the core of the Library is the complete collection of Lloyd’s Register of Ships, published from 1764 onwards.
